India and Nepal are battling it out in the Asia Cup 2023. India's first game of the tournament ended in a damp squib after the game against Pakistan on Saturday was called off.
As such, India needs to avoid defeat against Nepal to qualify for Super Four. After winning the toss, India captain Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first against Nepal.
However, the Nepal side managed to put up a spirited batting performance and managed to post a score of 230, which was commendable, given that they were playing their first-ever ODI against India.

Kohli did not have a great start to the game, where he dropped an easy catch of Kushal Bhurtel early on. He would have looked forward to getting some runs under his belt against Nepal after a disappointing outing against Pakistan.
However, he was not required to bat as openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill chased down the reduced target (due to rain) of 145 in 23 overs quite easily.
