We are less than two months away from the cricketing extravaganza that is the T20 World Cup. Held every two years now, the 2024 edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be held in the Caribbean and the United States of America (USA).
The excitement is through the roof since the upcoming edition promises to be one of a kind. The USA will be hosting a major ICC tournament for the first time in its history.

England won the previous edition in 2022 and will be heading into this tournament as the defending champions. Along with West Indies, they are the only other team to win the T20 World Cup twice.

When is the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup starting?
The 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup will commence on June 1. The curtain raiser will be played between hosts USA and their North American neighbours Canada.
2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup schedule
On January 5, 2024, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the full schedule of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
As mentioned above, USA and Canada will play the first game on June 1 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

Which teams will participate in the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup?
As many as 20 teams will feature in the 2024 T20 World Cup. That's the most number of teams that will ever feature in a Cricket World Cup finals (ODI or T20I).
The teams have been divided in four groups of five teams each. The groups are as following:

Nine venues across the USA and the Caribbean have been finalised to host the games at the 2024 T20 World Cup. They are:

- Barbados: Kensington Oval
- Guyana: Providence Stadium
- Saint Lucia: Daren Sammy Cricket Ground
- Saint Vincent & the Grenadines: Arnos Vale Stadium
- Trinidad and Tobago: Brian Lara Cricket Academy
- Lauderhill, Florida: Central Broward Regional Park Stadium
- East Meadow, New York: Nassau County International Cricket Stadium
- Grand Prairie, Texas: Grand Prairie Stadium
