Conor Benn has been a consistent feature within boxing headlines, even with a light schedule. He is ready to continue being in the spotlight as he competes for the first time in 2024 against Peter Dobson on February 3 in Las Vegas.
Benn only fought once in 2022 and was ready to fight Chris Eubank Jr. until he failed multiple drug tests. Due to a “highly elevated consumption of eggs,” Benn was suspended by UKAD. Maintaining his innocence, he returned to action in September, beating Rodolfo Orozco in Florida. He continues his tour of America by headlining a Vegas show.
Benn’s confidence has not wavered during this whole ordeal. He has used the publicity to his advantage.
“What more do you want me to do? I’m a promoter’s dream, what more do you want me to do? I’m the most wanted man in Britain, the most wanted man in the welterweight division,” Benn told Boxing Social. “From Haney to Brook, from Gervonta to Taylor, from Kelly, even Broner, Pacquiao, what do you want me to do? I ain’t fought for a year and a half, and I’m still there at the forefront of people’s minds in these mega fights.”
