Beterbiev (20-0) is the unified light heavyweight champion, holding gold since 2017. The Russian with Canadian citizenship has a 100% knockout-to-win ratio, with one fight almost going the distance. He looks to extend that streak while also showcasing his overall boxing skills.
"We'll see. I'm really interested to know that. I don't know. I always prepare for 12 rounds, for hard work," Beterbiev said to Sky Sports regarding how the fight could go. "If I land, everyone can be knocked out," he said, before adding, "At the same time we're not thinking about a knockout, it's not the main thing in our team. It's not good if you prepare for a fight with one scenario. You need to be smarter."
Bivol (23-0) has twelve wins via the power punch. Holding the WBA light heavyweight title since 2016, when he won the interim belt, the Russian is ready to add more gold to his waist.
