Heavyweight standout Jermaine Franklin enters enemy territory when he faces former world champion Anthony Joshua at the O2 Arena in London on April 1. Unlike previous Joshua fights, this one will be free on DAZN.

Franklin, 29, is coming off a controversial majority decision loss to Dillian Whyte. Looking strong through the bout, the American showcased an impressive skillset to an international audience. He will look to do the same once again in England.

Joshua, 33, is 2-3 in his last five fights and he has been switching trainers during that period. Prior to the rematch with Usyk, he moved from longtime trainer Robert McCracken to Robert Garcia. Following a second points loss to the Ukrainian, Joshua has hooked up with Derrick James.

Promoter Dmitriy Salita explained to The Sporting News his doubts about Joshua finding balance switching trainers. The man he promotes, Franklin, agrees.

“I feel like it’s a big opportunity for me, not because of him changing trainer but because of the other s--- we’ve seen," Franklin said via Boxing Scene. “Like footwork... the Usyk fight surprised me a little bit. It was a different AJ as a fighter. I’ve been watching that, studying that. Footwork of his is a big thing… But I’m faster than most of the guys and have better defense than most of the guys.

“I’m used to seeing AJ like a bull, a raging bull. Even though he’s not overly aggressive, he’s dominant. But when I watched the Usyk fights, it was weird to see this little guy pot-shotting. He’s not trying to knock you out, he’s just touching you and moving back. You can see all the frustration on his face. In my opinion, regardless of the way he fights, we have ways to touch him in attack. We work for it all."

With this not being a PPV event and with no titles on the line, a spot near the top of the heavyweight division is what's at stake. Already guaranteed, however, is a hefty payday.

Here is a look at how much they have made in their career and what they will take home on fight night.

As of now, it is unknown how much the two will make for their fight. The Sporting News will provide any update when revealed.

Besides being motivated to get back in the win column, Joshua is also motivated by money.

“I like making money. Straight up. Like, this is a prizefighting sport,” Joshua said at the pre-fight press conference, per talkSPORT. “I’ve been broke. My family has been broke. I know what this s--- means, and I do it because I’m good at it and I hustle hard. When it’s all said and done, no one will care about me no more. So, I’ve got to make the most of it while I’m here.”

During the first encounter against Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua took home about $13.6 million (plus 60% of the PPV revenue). Joshua earned about $75 million in the rematch, plus the fight bonus (about $119 million).

Per Total Sportal, Franklin made $500K against Dillian Whyte, plus a 30% share of the PPV, equaling $1.5 million.
