Baylor is two years removed from a national championship and is looking to reclaim that title as a No. 3 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Bears will battle No. 14 Colgate in the first round Friday in Memphis.

The winner of this game will play a second-round matchup Sunday against the winner of Friday's first-round game between No. 6 Clemson and No. 11 New Mexico.

The Bears are the only team in the country to earn a top-three seed in four straight NCAA Tournaments. Baylor is led by senior forward Jalen Bridges (11.9 ppg), Rayj Dennis (13.3 ppg) and Ja'Kobe Walter, the Big 12 Freshman of the Year who leads the team with 14.2 points per game.

Colgate is making its fifth consecutive and seventh overall NCAA Tournament appearance. The Raiders are coming off their fourth straight Patriot League championship and fifth in six years after beating Lehigh, 74-55, in the title game at their home court in Hamilton, N.Y.

Sophomore guard Braeden Smith was named the Patriot League Player of the Year, averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. He ranks 25th nationally with 5.8 assists per game.
