The No. 15 Oklahoma Sooners (1-0) are ready to lock horns with the Houston Cougars (0-1) this Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

The Sooners are riding high after their 51-3 blowout win over Temple in the opener. Their defense was rock solid, holding the Owls to under 200 total yards and a mere 69 on the ground.

But while the scoreline looks impressive, Oklahoma’s offense is hungry for more. Of those 51 points, 33 came from turnovers that gifted the Sooners excellent field position, so they’ll be looking to find their rhythm in this matchup.

On the flip side, the Cougars are licking their wounds after a 27-7 loss at home to UNLV. New head coach Willie Fritz, fresh off his stint at Tulane, is already tinkering with the lineup, particularly on the offensive line. After giving up five sacks, rushing for only 26 yards, and committing eight holding penalties, there’s no doubt Houston’s O-line needs some serious patching up.

Here's what you need to know about Saturday's Week 2 clash between the Oklahoma and Houston, including broadcast information and start time.
