The Professional Fighters League’s regular season has ended, and now it is time to see who is one step closer to winning $1 million. The 2023 PFL Playoffs are set to begin with the first fight card on August 4.
PFL 7 takes place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. The event will air on ESPN+ in the U.S. and DAZN in the U.K. This card features semi-final bouts in the featherweight and light heavyweight divisions.
The main event will be Bubba Jenkins vs. Jesus Pinedo in a semi-final bout at the featherweight limit. A multi-time medalist in freestyle wrestling, Jenkins turned pro in 2011. "Bad Man" has competed for Bellator and Brave CF before joining the PFL in 2021. He lost to Chris Wade in the PFL semi-finals in 2021 and Brendan Loughnane in the 2022 tournament finals. This season, Jenkins beat Wade and submitted Sung Bin Jo in June to advance.
Pinedo turned pro in 2013. With 12 wins via knockout, the fighter from Peru joined the PFL in 2023. He lost his first fight with the promotion in April against Gabriel Braga. In one of the biggest upsets of the season, Pinedo beat Loughnane via knockout to advance to the semi-finals.

He joined the PFL through the Challenger Series in 2022, beating Mohamad Juna. He went 1-1 in 2022, and he's 2-0 this year, beating Sami Kei via submission and Delan Monte via TKO to advance.
Flores turned pro in 2015. A former Dana White's Contender Series alum, he joined the PFL in 2023. The Denver-born fighter beat Delan Monte and Dan Spohn, both via unanimous decision, to advance.
In other playoff action, Braga faces Wade in a featherweight bout. Wade was eliminated but returned as a replacement fighter for the injured Movlid Khaybulaev.
Finally, Marthin Hamlet faces Impa Kasanganay in light heavyweight action.
