Eagles (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS) vs. Buccaneers (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS)

Philadelphia picked up a huge road win at New Orleans in Week 3. Saquon Barkley had a monster game with 147 rushing yards and two TDs. Tampa Bay failed to show up in a surprising 26-7 loss to Denver.

This game will be a rematch of last year's wildcard playoff game. Baker Mayfield went off for 300+ passing yards and three TDs, as the Bucs rolled to a 32-9 win over the Eagles.

It's unclear whether Philadelphia WR AJ Brown (hamstring) will return for Week 4. Further complicating matters for the Eagles, DeVonta Smith left Sunday's game at New Orleans with a concussion.

If both players are out, the Eagles will rely on Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson and Parris Campbell at wide receiver. That doesn't bode well for QB Jalen Hurts, but TE Dallas Goedert stepped up big in Brown's absence against the Saints. Goedert had 10 catches for 170 yards in Philly's 15-12 win.

In his Week 4 power rankings, Vinnie Iyer has the Eagles at No. 5. Here's Iyer: "The Eagles dug deep defensively to contain an explosive Saints offense and made the big play at the end. They also got more inventive around Jalen Hurts with some mounting injuries to the offense. That was a huge, much-needed road win."

Bills (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) vs. Ravens (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS)

The Bills are unbeaten heading into tonight's MNF meeting with the Jaguars. The Ravens picked up their first win of the season Sunday at Dallas.

This game features two of the NFL's best running quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, who ran for a nine-yard TD against the Cowboys. Allen has two rushing TDs through two games for the Bills.

Buffalo remains at No. 3 in Iyer's NFL power rankings. He writes, "The Bills are enjoying their efficient, run-heavy offense to help Josh Allen, and the defense is finding renewed strength from the deep pass rush and rising secondary."

Baltimore checks in at No. 8. Iyer's take: "The Ravens took it to the Cowboys with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and the running game, and they had enough defense to avoid blowing another late lead in Dallas. They are slowly rounding into their 2023 form."

Chiefs (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) vs. Chargers (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS)

Will Justin Herbert be available for this AFC West showdown? That's the biggest question mark as the Chiefs look to remain unbeaten.

Herbert aggravated his high ankle sprain and was forced to leave in Sunday's 20-10 loss at Pittsburgh. It was a rough day for LA in terms of injuries, as star linebacker Joey Bosa played just two snaps before leaving with a hip injury.

The Chiefs remain atop Iyer's power rankings. He writes, "The Chiefs handled a tough road trip to Atlanta on Sunday night with aplomb. Patrick Mahomes' connection with Rashee Rice was buzzing with the running game shorthanded, and the defense seems as strong as ever. Kansas City gets tougher to beat on both sides with each passing week."

How to read NFL odds

When looking at NFL odds, there are multiple factors to consider. There are bet types, from the point spread to moneyline to individual player props and more. Consider factors like the home team, weather, injuries, and anything else that can affect your bets.

Another important thing to keep in mind is the "vig" or "juice" the sportsbook attaches to each wager. This is the edge that sportsbooks build into the odds. It is often expressed in parentheses, such as (-110), based on a $100 bet. If the vig is -110, a bettor must risk $110 in order to win $100. If you see a + in front of the number, this is the amount you can profit from a $100 bet. So if the vig is +120, a winning $100 bet can turn a $120 profit.

What is a point spread in NFL betting?

The point spread is the most popular way to wager on the NFL. It involves betting on a team to win by or "cover" a certain number of points, or lose by fewer points than the set number or spread.  For example, if the Chiefs are -7 vs. the Eagles, Kansas City must win by at least eight points to cover the spread. For the Eagles to cover the spread (+7), they must lose by 6 or fewer points, or win the game. If the Chiefs were to win by exactly 7 points, the bet is a push, and the bet stake would be refunded.

What is a moneyline in NFL betting?

Betting on the moneyline in NFL games is one of the most straightforward wagers you can make because it involves a team winning the game outright without regard to the margin of victory. Odds are assigned to each team in a matchup. If the Lions are playing the Packers and have -135 odds to win, you would have to bet $135 to win $100 if the Lions win. The Packers, the underdogs in this scenario, could have odds of +115, meaning a $100 bet on the Packers would win you $115 if the Packers win.

What is a total or OVER/UNDER in NFL betting?

Betting on the total or the OVER/UNDER is a wager on points scored in a game. If the Cowboys and the Giants are playing and the total is set at 41.5, you may bet whether the two teams' combined number of points would add up to more or less than that number. If you bet the OVER, you would need 42 points to win. An UNDER bet would win if 41 points or fewer are scored during the game.

NFL parlays

Betting a parlay combines multiple wagers into a single bet. Parlays are more difficult wagers to win, but with the increased difficulty, there are higher odds, meaning higher potential winnings. An example of an NFL parlay would be betting three teams on the moneyline. Betting on the 49ers (-135), the Bears (-155), and the Falcons (+105) would translate to +487 odds on your wager. In this scenario, if all three win and you wagered $100, you would win $487. The challenge here? Each leg of a parlay bet has to hit to win. If the 49ers and Falcons win but the Bears lose, the bet is a loss.

Live betting NFL odds

Live betting has become increasingly popular, with many NFL bettors making wagers as the games are in progress. A live bet can be made on many different things, including spreads, moneylines, point totals and more. When a game is ongoing, odds are constantly updated as different things affect them. The Seahawks may go in as a slight favorite over the Saints. On the first possession, the Saints get a pick-six, which may result in the odds flipping to make the Saints a live favorite. If you still think the Seahawks will win, now is a good time to make a live bet, as Seattle now has plus odds for a live moneyline bet.

NFL prop bets

Prop bets are a fun way to wager on different things happening in a game. Say the Bills are playing the Dolphins. You could wager on player props like Tyreek Hill to have OVER/UNDER 110 receiving yards or Josh Allen to have OVER/UNDER 2.5 touchdown passes. There are also team props like the Dolphins scoring 2+ touchdowns in the first half or the Bills forcing 1+ turnovers. Many different types of prop bets are offered at online sportsbooks, and the odds on NFL props can vary widely.

NFL Super Bowl and other futures odds

Futures wagers are fun ways to bet on a team to win a championship or a player to win an award. You can bet on things like the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl or Aaron Rodgers to win the MVP. NFL futures bets typically have longer odds, meaning a higher potential return. One thing to note about future bets, though, is they don't settle until the end of the season. If you place a futures bet on the Houston Texans to win the Super Bowl, the bet won't settle until the Texans either win the Super Bowl or lose in the playoffs.
