The best college football conference just got better. After all, it just means more in the SEC.

The game is in a new era, with conferences and playoff brackets expanding. Texas and Oklahoma have joined the SEC, improving what was already the toughest conference in the game.

There's nothing like grabbing that SEC crown in Atlanta. From beatdowns to hoisting opponents to confetti-filled helmets, all eyes are on the championship. If you can survive the SEC, you can survive whatever the CFP throws at you, especially in a 12-team world.

It's no secret that the title game in Atlanta is something fans look forward to months ahead of time, as tickets are difficult to grab hold of by the time December rolls around. But that's what the Sporting News is here for with a guide to tickets, parking and everything else you need to know to get to the 2024 SEC Football Championship.

SEC Championship game 2024 tickets: How to buy

Passes for the 2024 SEC Championship game are distributed to fans everywhere. It's up to you to decide if you want to trust in your team ahead of time to make the title matchup.

Tickets for the game will be available through participating teams but are also available now on secondary sites like StubHub.

How much are SEC Championship game 2024 tickets?

Arguably the main event when it comes to conference championships in college football, getting into the SEC Championship is no walk in the park.

As of September, the cheapest ticket to the game is $500.

Like most college events, though, prices vary throughout the season as teams' chances of making the game bob up and down. If an underdog makes the game, costs will likely fall, but if a perennial powerhouse like Georgia or Alabama make it to Atlanta, prices will only rise.

Who will play in 2024 SEC Championship game?

Without divisions in the conference, the SEC Championship-participating teams must prove themselves throughout the entire conference season, not just against East or West opponents.

The two squads with the best conference records will face off for the ultimate title.

There are a few tiebreaking procedures, of course, for any top programs that are tied in their SEC record. The rules will be followed in descending order until the tie is broken.

  • Head-to-head competition among the tied teams

  • Record versus all common Conference opponents among the tied teams

  • Record against highest (best) placed common Conference opponent in the Conference standings, and proceeding through the Conference standings among the tied teams

  • Cumulative Conference winning percentage of all Conference opponents among the tied teams

  • Capped relative total scoring margin versus all Conference opponents among the tied teams

  • Random draw of the tied teams
