Arizona and Kansas State are going head-to-head this week in a battle of the Wildcats.
Last week, Arizona played in-state rival Northern Arizona and came out on top, 22-10. The Wildcats were expected to have a more dominant performance against the FCS team, but running back Quali Conley pushed the team to victory with 112 yards on the ground. Star receiver Tetairoa McMillan was limited to only two catches for 11 yards.
With the win, Arizona tied the school record for consecutive victories at nine and extended the longest active winning streak in FBS.
Kansas State is coming off a 9-4 season, dropping close games to Oklahoma State and Texas last year. The program has seen success recently, going to four bowl games in the last five seasons and winning the Big 12 title in 2022.
Last week, the Wildcats beat the Tulane Green Wave, 34-27. Despite being favored by nearly 10 points, K-State still fell behind 3-14 early in the game and was forced to play catch-up. Junior running back DJ Giddens ran for 114 yards and caught four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.
