After earning an at-large bid and a No. 2 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Marquette will face No. 15 Western Kentucky on Friday in Indianapolis.

The Golden Eagles are making their 36th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Shaka Smart is 73-29 at Marquette and has guided the team to three straight NCAA Tournament berths.

The Golden Eagles are led by All-Big East selections Tyler Kolek and Oso Ighodaro. Kolek averages 7.6 assists per game, the second-highest mark in the nation behind only Minnesota's Elijah Hawkins (7.7).

The Hilltoppers earned Conference USA's automatic bid with a 78-71 win against UTEP in the championship game of the conference tournament. This will be Western Kentucky's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2013.

Western Kentucky is led by junior guard Don McHenry, an All-CUSA First Team selection. He averages 15.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
