Stony Brook won the regular-season title outright and will be the top seed in the 2024 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship. 

The Seawolves are led by Sherese Pittman, who has double-double in two of her last four games, averaging 21 points and 10.8 rebounds per game over that stretch.

Monmouth, the defending CAA Champion, is the No. 2 seed after closing out the regular season with seventh straight wins. Monmouth earned 21 wins this season, which is the third most wins in a single-season in program history.

Charleston won a program record 13 CAA games to earn the third seed and went 2-0 against North Carolina A&T, who also had 13 league victories and is seeded fourth, collecting the final bye into the quarterfinals.

Five teams earned at least 12 conference wins for the second straight season, while seven teams winning double-digit CAA contests marks the most in league history.

The tournament begins Wednesday with two first-round matchups. No. 12 Hampton and No. 13 Hofstra tip off at 2 p.m. before No. 11 Northeastern faces No. 14 UNCW at 4:30 p.m. Second-round action begins on Thursday at noon as No. 8 Campbell takes on No. 9 Elon. Next up will be No. 5 William & Mary against the winner of Hampton/Hofstra at 2:30 p.m., followed by No. 7 Drexel facing No. 10 Delaware at 5 p.m. In the nightcap, No. 6 Towson awaits the winner of Northeastern/UNCW at 7:30 p.m.
 
The top four seeds earn byes to Friday’s quarterfinals, where they will square off against the winners from Thursday’s second round. No. 1 Stony Brook opens quarterfinal action at noon versus the winner of Campbell/Elon.

The second game will tip at 2:30 p.m., featuring No. 4 North Carolina A&T against either William & Mary or Hampton/Hofstra. At 5 p.m., No. 2 Monmouth takes on the winner of Drexel/Delaware before rounding out the night with No. 3 Charleston playing the victor of Towson or Northeastern/UNCW at 7:30 p.m.
