Another MotoGP race is on the horizon at a world-renowned motorsporting circuit, as the 11th meeting of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship campaign gets underway with the Austrian Grand Prix from one of the homes of modern racing – the Red Bull Ring.

The 2024 season officially reached its halfway point at the British Grand Prix last time out, and saw a fourth different rider of the season climb to the top of the podium and claim the win at Silverstone. Defending world champion Francesco Bagnaia's four consecutive race victories came to an end, as his fellow Italian Enea Bastianini collected his first chequered flag of the season.

Bastianini pipped world championship front-runners Jorge Martin and Bagnaia to the victory at Silverstone, with Martin's second-placed finish seeing him go back above Bagnaia in the 2024 standings – albeit by just three points. Bastianini rises to third, with his 192 points trailing the leading duo by 46 points.

The Red Bull Ring in Austria is arguably best known as the spiritual home of the Red Bull Formula 1 team, but will also be a 'home race' for the RB KTM Factory Racing team, whose riders include Brad Binder, Jack Miller, Dani Pedrosa, and Pol Espargaro. Red Bull also have a partnership with the two riders of French team GasGas Tech3.

As we enter the second and decisive half of this year's MotoGP campaign, the title fight between Bagnaia and Martin is set to take several more twists and turns in 2024, and The Sporting News has all the scheduling, TV and streaming information for this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix.
