The Villanova men's basketball team is looking to snap a three-game losing streak when the Wildcats travel to Butler for a Big East matchup on Saturday, Jan. 27. 

Villanova lost to St. John's 70-50 on Wednesday night. Eric Dixon led the Wildcats with 16 points and eight rebounds. TJ Bamba added 12 points for Villanova, which was 8-of-22 (.364) from the field in the first half.

Wildcats junior guard Jordan Longino, who averages 8.2 points per game, is back in the lineup after suffering a sprained left ankle in the Jan. 6 matchup with the Red Storm.

Butler won its second straight game with a 90-66 victory over Georgetown on Tuesday night in Washington, D.C. The Bulldogs shot 57 percent from the field, including a 62-percent in the first half. Butler improved to 12-0 this season when shooting a better percentage than its opponents and 6-1 when shooting better than 50 percent.

Butler had five in double figures for the sixth time this season.

Pierre Brooks II finished with 20 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, giving him the first double-double of his career. He shot 8-for-15 from the field, including four three-pointers.

It is the sixth 20-point game of the season for Brooks and his seventh time leading the team in scoring.

Jahmyl Telfort had 17 points, his highest total since scoring 20 in the Dec. 9 win over Cal. DJ Davis scored 17 points and tied his career-high with five assists. He made all six of his free throw attempts. He entered the night ranked second nationally in free throw percentage (96.7). He has hit all 31 of his attempts in Big East games.

Jalen Thomas had 11 points on 5-for-5 shooting and Posh Alexander scored 10 points.
