As the days count down to New York Jets' training camp, All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner has been hitting the greens hard.

Gardner, who will turn 24 years old on August 31, has dedicated a noticeable amount of his off-time to mastering the game of golf. Chronicling his experience on the social media site now known as X, the Jets' CB1 played a full 18 holes with his own ball for the first time this past week.

He posed a number of golf-related questions to his X followers in recent days, seeking advice on mechanics as well as club choice. On Wednesday, Gardner shared video of his 240-yard drive and the official PGA account replied with a customized instructional video from coach Justin Kraft.

On Thursday, Gardner shared a photo of his scorecard from Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, NJ. The highly-regarded cornerback shot a 96 on the Par 72 course.

Thunder showers weren't enough to chase Gardner off the course on Sunday.

"We drive the green in the rain boys," said Gardner in an X post featuring a photo of ominous skies hovering over the course.

In a subsequent X post, the two-time All-Pro First Team selection shared a video that shows him hitting a drive through the raindrops while shirtless.

"If the rain doesn't stop football games, why would I let it stop my round of golf? WE DRIVE THE GREEEEN!!!" said Gardner.

The emerging NFL superstar would be smart to consult with Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers on golf strategy. The 40-year-old Rodgers is expected to contest the American Century Championship ProAm event in Lake Tahoe on July 10-14. He finished fifth overall last summer.
