Duke secured a fourth seed in the South region of the NCAA Tournament and will play 13-seeded Vermont, which claimed its third straight America East title Friday.

The Blue Devils dropped to the fourth seed after they were upset by NC State in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. It marked the first time Duke scored fewer than 70 points in the past 17 games.

The Blue Devils will now look to get back on track against a tough Vermont team, which has the physicality to give Duke some trouble inside.

Duke is led by sophomore Kyle Filipowski, who earned several national recognitions, including a spot on 2024 Men's National Ballot for the John R. Wooden Award, Sporting News All-America Third Team and Associated Press All-ACC First Team.

The Catamounts last earned three straight America East titles from 2003-05. It's the fourth three-peat in conference history.

Vermont coach John Becker extended his record to seven America East championships, the most in league history.

Shamir Bogues was named Reggie Lewis Most Outstanding Player of the America East tourney after scoring a team-high 15 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists in a 66-61 victory over UMass Lowell in the title game.
