Tampa Bay Buccaneers 'Creamsicle Day' returns to preseason schedule image

"Creamsicle Day" is returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason schedule. The team is once again designating August 14 as the unofficial holiday of one of its most famous throwback uniforms.

Armature Works will host a series of fun events to get fans hyped for the upcoming season.

In recent years, the Buccaneers have embraced their history of creamsicle uniforms.  There was a time when the uniforms were considered out of style and a reminder of past teams who did not perform at a high level.

Since Tom Brady led this team to a Super Bowl Championship in 2021, creamsicle is considered nostalgic and cool.  Speaking of nostalgia, the Bucs picked an interesting photo to commemorate Brady's 47th birthday last week.  They called it the "greatest throw in Buccaneers history" when Brady famously threw the Lombardi Trophy during the Super Bowl Championship boat parade. Baker Mayfield and the 2024 Buccaneers would like to duplicate this throw next February.

Don't fret, creamsicle day is not just on August 14. The Buccaneers will again don the creamsicle uniforms in Week 8 of the 2024 season against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Buccaneers open the preseason with an August 10 road game against the Cincinnati Bengals slated to air at 7:00 PM EDT on NBC.  Tampa Bay's regular-season opener is at home on September 8 against the Washington Commanders.
