No. 2 Stanford is eyeing a an eyeing a national championship and will have to overcome No. 7 Iowa State in the second round of the 2024 NCAA women's tournament on Sunday.

The Cardinal cruised past No. 15 Norfolk State of the MEAC 79-50 in the opener. Cameron Brink led Stanford with 17 points, 15 rebounds and blocked six shots. Brink is the nation's No. 1 shot-blocker and earlier announced that she would declare for the WNBA draft and not use her last year of eligibility for a fifth season at Stanford. 

Kiki Iriafen added 17 points and nine rebounds, while Elena Bosgana scored a career-high 18 points and Hannah Jump had 13 for Stanford, which bounced back from a 74-61 loss to USC in the Pac-12 Tournament championship.

The Cardinal have a high-powered offense and outscore opponents by 18.6 points per game and have a +633 scoring differential overall.

Iowa State is coming off of a 93-86 victory against Maryland on Friday. The Cyclones rallied from a 20-point deficit — the second-largest comeback in NCAA women's championship history — and will pose a serious threat to Stanford.  

Audi Crooks had a career night with 40 points and 12 rebounds. She set Iowa State NCAA Tournament single-game records for points (40), made field goals (18) and field goal percentage (.900).
