India's PV Sindhu beat Estonia's Kristan Kuuba in her second match at the Paris Olympics 2024, to secure a place in the Round of 16 stage of the women's badminton singles event.

She comfortably beat Kristan in straight sets with a dominating scoreline of 21-5 and 21-10, making it two consecutive wins for the badminton star in Group M, having beat Maldives' Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq by a 21-9 and 21-6 margin in the first game.

Sindhu who is on the hunt for her third Olympic medal, can become the first ever Indian to win medals in three consecutive Olympics games, having won silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Who is PV Sindhu's next opponent in Paris 2024 Olympics' Badminton Women's singles Round of 16?

PV Sindhu, the two-time Olympic medalist, will face off against China's He Bing Jiao, who was the topper of Group N and is currently ranked 8th in the world.

It is expected to be a much more challenging and thriller of a contest, compared to the group games. 

The Badminton Women's singles Round of 16 is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 1, starting at 10 PM Indian time onwards. (IST).
