Everybody's got a price.
Pat McAfee has carved out his niche in the sports media world, with "The Pat McAfee Show" now airing daily on ESPN. Part of McAfee's success has been tied to Aaron Rodgers, who has made weekly appearances on the progrum for some time now.
Rodgers, though, isn't exactly joining the McAfee show because he's buddies with the former NFL punter, or former teammate A.J. Hawk. As is the case with most big-time guest appearances across television, radio and other media, Rodgers comes with a price tag.

And if Pat McAfee's word is to be taken at face value, it's a hefty chunk of change. Here's what it is:
How much does Aaron Rodgers get paid by Pat McAfee?
An exact dollar figure per Rodgers appearance is unknown, but the four-time MVP has a nice little racket going with his lengthy Tuesday appearances on the show. According to McAfee, Rodgers has made a cool million-plus with the show.
"Aaron has made over $1,000,000 with us, for sure," McAfee told The New York Post.
Rodgers appears for roughly 40 minutes every Tuesday during the NFL season, even now, as he's rehabbing from the Achilles tear he suffered in Week 1.
In recent years, though, Rodgers has said that his appearance on the show is more about controlling his own narrative as opposed to the money he may be making.
"It's allowed me to silence all the d—bags who were talking for me, and making themselves more relevant by using my name, or running with stories that weren't fact," Rodgers said in 2021. "This was a natural, authentic way to have a conversation."
Whether that's typical McAfee theatrics and posturing is unclear, but one thing to note: As the Post mentions, it's not uncommon for sports figures to accept big paydays for radio and TV guest appearances. Rodgers, for however much of a trailblazer he is, would simply be the next pro athlete to cash a check for his appearance on a TV show.
