Frank Gore Jr. scouting report
In a league where speed has become a top priority, Gore noticeably lacks it. His 4.58 40-yard dash leaves plenty to be desired, especially when offensive linemen haven't been far off from that number.
Evaluators find themselves concerned with that lack of burst and home run ability, meaning that Gore's upside is limited. He is more likely to play the change-of-pace role rather than find himself atop the depth chart.
Those concerns are seemingly shared across the board by evaluators, but they do enjoy Gore's ability to read blocks and find running lanes. His strength, durability, and toughness make up for the undersized player, who also has potential as a receiver out of the backfield.
He projects as a player who likely ends up signing as an undrafted free agent, giving him a chance to make his mark during training camp and the preseason. As with most players, he can be a factor as long as he ends up in the right system.
