3 Up

1. Lonnie Chisenhall, 3B, Indians. Chisenhall was a one-man wrecking crew on Monday, going 5-for-5 with three homers and nine RBIs. The 25-year-old 3B has been on fire for a while (.452/.455/.871 in June), and his season line is up to .385/.429/.615. Clearly, we're talking about a breakout season here, and it's likely that he'll start seeing more at-bats against lefties. Chisenhall's performance was so good it dwarfed those of teammates Michael Brantley (3-for-3, 5 runs, HR) and Jason Kipnis (3-for-5, 3 Rs, 4 RBIs, SB).

2. Jose Reyes, SS, Blue Jays. Reyes gave his owners the Smash-N-Grab-N-Grab last night, going 3-for-5 with a homer and two steals. He still has work to do on his batting line (.268/.318/.414), but Reyes has a hit in all but three games since May 8, including each of his past 10. He'll get there.

3. Scott Van Slyke, OF, Dodgers. Van Slyke is one of the biggest lefty killers in the league this year, and he showed why on Monday, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBIs and two homers – both against Tony Cingrani -- during the Dodgers' win in Cincinnati. Van Slyke is hitting .302/.474/.802(!) against southpaws.

3 Down

1. Tony Cingrani, SP, Reds. Speaking of Cingrani, last night was probably his last start – at least in the majors – for a while. The lefty was rocked for seven hits, three walks and six runs in just 4.2 innings. He's lost five straight decisions and figures to move to the 'pen with Mat Latos (elbow) set to return on Saturday.

2. Jonathan Villar, SS, Astros. A sore elbow – and poor performance – have limited Villar's playing time recently, and he doesn't help his cause with nights like Monday: 0-for-4 with a pair of Ks and five left-on-base. The Astros don't have any great alternatives, but Villar, who's been caught stealing on his past two attempts, don't have a ton of value right now.

3. Andrelton Simmons, SS, Braves. Not to pick on light-hitting shortstops, but Simmons went 0-for-4 with five left-on-base last night. It's not that big of deal, but some owners might have grabbed him when they saw the "@COL" by his name. Even altitude can't help Simmons, apparently.
