ESPN's Sage Steele appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday night and during the interview, we all learned a few things about the "SportsCenter" anchor we won't ever forget.

Specifically, Steele told a story about moving from Indianapolis to Tampa early in her career. It was upon her arrival that she met Warren Sapp, setting off a chain of events that would change her view on underwear forever.

Sapp told Steele he could tell she had just moved to the area from Indianapolis. Steele wondered how that was possible because, as she tells Kimmel, she was an army brat who moved around and had no real accent. Sapp made her wait for an answer until the team's bye week later in the season. And, well ... just watch for the answer.

"All women from Indianapolis wear granny panties were," Sapp told Steele.

So, now we can all remember the day we heard Sage Steele talk about granny panties on national TV. Steele hilariously says she thanks Sapp for being that obnoxious, because then she went shopping and "evolved."

In a less salacious story, Steele explains the origin of her unqiue first name. Watch it below.
