Tony Romo is scheduled for "more extensive tests" on his back Tuesday, but Cowboys coach Jason Garrett told a Dallas radio station that he expects his quarterback to be "ready to go.''

"We'll get the tests today, but we anticipate him being ready to go," Garrett said Tuesday morning on KRLD-FM in Dallas. "When we left the stadium last night, he seemed like he was OK, and we'll get the tests today to verify everything."

Garrett added that Romo returning to Monday night's game against Washington after being forced out by a third-quarter hit to his back, indicated that Romo's injury was not serious. "But they want to do some more extensive tests. We'll find out more as the day goes on," he added.

Romo's injury was diagnosed as a contusion, and the team said that X-rays were negative. Romo had surgery on his back two consecutive years, in 2013 to remove a cyst and last December to repair a disk injured in a game in Washington.

The Cowboys play at home against Arizona Sunday.
