MV1 is QB1 ... for this week, at least.
Jets coach Rex Ryan announced Monday that Michael Vick will take over Geno Smith's reigns as starting quarterback when the Jets travel to Kansas City for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Ryan mentioned the move is temporary and he's not looking past this week.

"It's a great opportunity," Vick said. "You have to relish it but at the same time take it extremely serious."
Vick spelled a struggling Smith for the second time this season during the Week 8 loss to the Bills after the starter had thrown more interceptions (three) than completions (two) on eight pass attempts. The backup wasn't exactly a savior, as he completed 18 of 36 passes for 153 yards and a pick.
It won't be easy for Vick on the road this week against a Chiefs defense fresh off its dismantling of the Rams, but he'll at least have time to work with the Jets' first-team offense in practice this week.
