Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway helped rescue a couple on Lake Minnetonka on Monday night after their boat malfunctioned.
Crystal Alexis and her husband Edward were cruising the lake, taking in the sights when the boat they were in suddenly started going in circles.
"We were looking at all the beautiful houses and all of the sudden the steering wheel wouldn't turn and we were going in circles," she said.
As the boat circled while the pair on board awaited the water rescue team, it got "dangerously close" to the rocks and the spillway at Gray's Bay Dam.
Greenway sensed their angst and sprang into action, hopping into the water and pushing the boat to a safer inlet until the patrol arrived.

"The waves are so big and the wind is so strong today that it pushed him right into the rocks, so we had to get him off the rocks, his prop cleared out of the rope, and get him turned in the right direction," he said.
The couple was successfully resuced and the boat towed to the dock, but Greenway wasn't finished helping them out -- he drove them to go get both their boat and their car.
When asked if they knew who he was, the pair was dumbfounded.
"We didn't even know, we didn't even know," the couple said.
