Legally blind long snapper joins Tulane as walk-on image

Aaron Golub has been legally blind since birth. He has no vision in his left eye and only slight vision in his right eye.

Despite his impairment, Golub has spent the past two seasons as the long snapper for the Newton South (Mass.) High School football team. He has been rewarded for his skills and the strength to overcome adversity with a preferred walk-on position at Tulane next season.

"I think we've had one bad snap in the two years he's snapped for us," Newton South head coach Ted Dalicandro told WBZ-TV in Boston

Playing Division I college football has always been a dream of Golub's, and now he will get the chance to do just that. The Green Wave finished 7-6 last season and will make the move from Conference-USA to the American Athletic Conference in 2014.
