Gus Malzahn got a new contract in December before Auburn played in the BCS Championship Game in his first season as head coach.
Auburn released details of the contract, as well as information on assistant contracts, on Friday.
Malzahn received a two-year extension, paying him $3.85 million this season with $250,000 annual increases through 2019.

Among his contract incentives:
— $300,000 for playing in national championship game
— $500,000 for winning the national championship
— $200,000 for playing in one of the top six bowl games
Some notes on Malzahn’s assistants:
Offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee received a $250,000 increase to $600,000 with a two-year extension to June 2017.
Defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson received a $50,000 raise to $800,000 and his contract was extended to June 2017 as well.
Auburn finished 12-2 in Malzahn’s first season as head coach for the Tigers. They lost to FSU, 34-31, in the final BCS title game. He was offensive coordinator at Auburn from 2009-2011, guiding the Cam Newton-led offense to the 2010 BCS championship.
Earlier this week, Auburn's in-state rival Alabama released details of Nick Saban's contract. Saban, who won three BCS titles with the Crimson Tide, will make just less than $7 million next season. Auburn beat Alabama to reach the SEC Championship Game last season in one of college football's craziest finishes ever.
