Remember who was AP's No. 1 when the 2013-14 season ended? Florida, with an overwhelming number of first-place votes. Wichita State was second, Virginia third. Arizona was No. 4. During the season, Syracuse was among No. 1 teams.
Neither Kentucky or UConn, the NCAA Tournament champ, was in the Top 25.
Who starts No. 1 in the AP rankings likely won't finish No. 1 or come up winner in The Big Dance. It's just a place to start the conversation.
