Russell Westbrook breaks hand, has to be restrained after altercation with fan image

With Kevin Durant sidelined with a foot injury, the Thunder could ill afford another injury.

But on Thursday, they saw star point guard Russell Westbrook exit their game against the Clippers in the second quarter with a right hand fracture. OKC coach Scott Brooks announced the injury after the Thunder lost to LA 93-90 (per ESPNLosAngeles.com). Westbrook could be as long as 4-6 weeks.

To make matters worse, Westbrook had to be restrained by Staples Center personnel following a verbal altercation with a Clippers fan.

It is unclear exactly what was said to set off Westbrook, but it is plausible that something was thrown in Westbrook's direction.
