Wait, who's that last one? Didn't Mark Jackson just agree to rejoin Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy on NBA broadcasts? Are contracts that flimsy?
Well, ESPN.com reported that Knicks president Phil Jackson "has not ruled out a sit-down with Knicks fan favorite Mark Jackson, who has rejoined ESPN as a broadcaster after his dismissal by the Warriors."
Again, Mark Jackson just came back to TV. He's going to bail that quickly? We haven't heard from Mark about this, so who knows?
One thing does seem certain: Phil Jackson will wait for the Thunder's season to end so he can make a run at Fisher, a trusted Laker during Phil's run of championships in LA.
Fisher acknowledged already talking to Jackson, but he tried to make it clear he's focused on the Thunder-Spurs Western Conference finals which begin Monday night.
“We touched base right before his official press conference when he accepted the job,” Fisher told reporters, according to CBS New York. “Since then we haven’t spoken. Obviously he’s busy trying to make the changes he needs to make there. I have a day job as well. I think he respects that more than anybody; he taught me a lot about how to operate at this time of year.
“We talk every offseason. I’m sure we’ll talk again when this season is over. But I don’t have any intention of reaching out to him. I think he respects what I’m in right now as well.”
