ロサンゼルス・レイカーズのフランク・ボーゲル・ヘッドコーチは3月30日（日本時間31日）、新加入のアンドレ・ドラモンドが31日（同4月1日）のミルウォーキー・バックス戦で先発出場する予定と明らかにした。

ドラモンドは先週、クリーブランド・キャバリアーズと契約バイアウトで合意。レイカーズが28日（同29日）に契約を結んでいた。
今季のドラモンドは、キャバリアーズで25試合に先発出場し、平均17.5得点、13.5リバウンド、2.5アシストを記録。2月12日（同13日）を最後に試合から遠ざかっていた。
30日（同31日）にレイカーズで初練習に臨んだドラモンドは、「最高潮に興奮している」と意気込んだ。

He said he felt “incredible” physically in practice today and that he “wasn’t winded.” He added that he's made sure he was in great shape by working really hard since he’s been sitting.
