The Cleveland Indians beat the Detroit Tigers 11-10 in 13 innings on Wednesday thanks to a walk-off balk.
Yes, that's right, a walk-off balk.

Detroit reliever Phil Coke came on in the bottom of the 13th inning with the Tigers clinging to a 10-9 lead and promptly gave up a single to Mike Aviles before hitting Asdrubal Cabrera. Following a Michael Brantley single that scored Aviles, Coke was relieved by Al Alburquerque, who intentionally walked Yan Gomes, loading the bases for Ryan Raburn with two outs.
Then this happened.
"He just went to come set and he stopped and it was pretty blatant," Tigers catcher Alex Avila told reporters. "There wasn't any controversy about that one."
This isn't even the Tigers' first walk-off balk loss of the year. Back in spring training, the Tigers lost to the New York Yankees after a miscommunication between manager Brad Ausmus, pitcher Luis Marte and third baseman Francisco Martinez allowed the Yankees to score the winning run.
The last walk-off balk to occur during a regular season game was back on June 17, 2011, when New York Mets pitcher D.J. Carrasco balked against the Atlanta Braves, allowing the winning run to score.
