New song puts Nolan Ryan atop Twitter's trending topics image

Nolan Ryan finds himself among the U.S. trending topics on Twitter today. No, really.

And the reason isn't because he fell ill or decided to go another round with Robin Ventura. "Nolan Ryan" is the name of a new track from Hoodie Allen, which you can listen to below.

Some NSFW lyrics, so caution to those with delicate sensibilities.

But you know, if you're going to name a song after Nolan Ryan, maybe post the right guy's photo on your Facebook page. Hoodie Allen shared this post on Facebook yesterday. Trouble is, that's Jerry Grote.

In the third verse, Allen raps: "I'm Nolan Ryan when I wind up / You strike out and I'm making hits without even trying"

Rap Genius also points out that today in 1990, Nolan Ryan pitched his sixth career no-hitter. Ryan tossed a seventh career no-no on May 1, 1991.
