The Chicago White Sox have selected left-hander Carlos Rodon from N.C. State with the third overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft.
Rodon was the favorite to go No. 1 overall heading into the spring, but he didn't "wow" scouts during the season, which might have caused him to slip a few spots. This could be a great thing for the White Sox, though, who couldn't have expected to have the opportunity to pick Rodon a few months ago.
Chris Sale got to big leagues a couple months after the draft. Could Carlos Rodon figure in a wild card push for White Sox?
