This is becoming a regular thing in Cleveland: an Indians player sounds off on lukewarm fan support.

This year it's second baseman Jason Kipnis, who is ... not thrilled that folks are writing off the last-place Tribe.

Cleveland (19-25) trails the Detroit Tigers by 10 1/2 games in the AL Central. The Tigers, it so happens, are in town for a series beginning Monday.

Two years ago, former closer Chris Perez went off on fans for not showing up to Progressive Field.

Kipnis — who has been on the disabled list for about a month — can rip the fans without much worry from the front office. He's a franchise cornerstone and he signed a six-year, $52.5 million contract extension in April.
