The Pirates couldn't wait any longer: Gregory Polanco is coming to the Show.

Pittsburgh announced that it will call up their top prospect Tuesday. They needed to make a move after placing second baseman Neil Walker (appendectomy) on the disabled list Monday night.

If the Bucs wanted to keep it on the down low, well, Polanco foiled those plans.

Fans have been clamoring for Polanco, 22, to get the call. He has been pounding Triple-A pitching (.347/405/.540 through Sunday). Many skeptics believe the Bucs kept Polanco in the minors so he would not earn enough service time to qualify for a fourth season of arbitration eligibility. Pirates management swore that wasn't the case.
