The Washington Wizards aren't wasting any time locking down Bradley Beal.

Wizards General Manager Tommy Sheppard told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the franchise plans to offer the All-Star guard a three-year, $111 million contract extension on Saturday, the first day he is eligible for one.

The 26-year-old is owed $56 million over the next two seasons of his current deal, meaning the extension would not kick in until the 2021-2022 season.

Beal will have until October 21 to sign the deal and will likely wait to make his decision.

"There are moments in a career where there are big decisions to make, and Brad will work through everything and figure out the right thing to do," his agent Mark Bartelstein said, per Wojnarowski.

"There are nothing but great feelings for Ted [Leonsis], Tommy [Sheppard] and Scott [Brooks]. They've treated Brad wonderfully."

Beal is coming off his best season in the NBA, averaging 25.6 points per game, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds, all career highs on his way to earning his second All-Star selection.

If he waits until next summer, he could be eligible for a five-year, $254-million super-max deal if he makes an All-NBA team. If he isn't named on an All-NBA team, he will still be eligible for a four-year, $155-million deal.
