The 2017 French Open mixed doubles title was the first major for both Dabrowski and Bopanna. It also cemented her place in history as the first Canadian woman to win a Grand Slam title.

After advancing to the final without dropping a set, Dabrowski-Bopanna fought back from a set down to defeat Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Robert Farah 2-6, 6-2, 12-10.
