The global Grand Slam season for 2024 took place in January, with the Australian Open tournament in Melbourne. The likes of Jannik Sinner and Rohan Bopanna made history with their maiden titles in the men's singles and men's doubles categories respectively.

From the Indian perspective, Bopanna was the big story, along with Sumit Nagal who caught the eye when he upset Alexander Bublik in the first round of the men's singles tournament. Both players will also have a chance to build on their successes in the second Grand Slam of this year, the French Open.

For the tournament in Paris, Rohan Bopanna is India's highest-ranked player entered in the men's doubles category, while Nagal is the country's only entrant in the men's singles.

Nagal has been handed a tough draw in singles. He will take on 18th seed Karen Khachanov in the opening round.
The 26-year-old has also registered for the doubles tournament with Austrian partner Sebastian Ofner. However the duo is four off the cut-off mark as on May 24.
Bopanna will continue his partnership with Australia's Matthew Ebden and the duo are the No 2 seeds. They will take on Hungary's Marton Fucsovics and Finland's Emil Ruusuvuori in the opening round.
Meanwhile, Yuki Bhambri will team up with Frenchman Albano Olivetti. Their first-round clash will be against Australia's John Peers and Roman Safiullin.
Qualifiers for the tournament began on May 20, with the main draw set to get underway from May 26 and run till June 9.
