On Tuesday, the San Antonio Spurs raised Tony Parker's jersey to the rafters of the AT&T Center.

The No. 28 pick in the 2001 NBA Draft, Parker was a member of the Spurs for 16 seasons, where he developed into a six-time All-Star, four-time NBA champion and one-time Finals MVP, to name a few accolades. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest players to ever wear a Spurs uniform, joining the likes of Tim Duncan, David Robinson and Manu Ginobili.

There were many familiar faces in attendance for the ceremony.

He received a warm welcome from the Spurs faithfuls.

As always, head coach Gregg Popovich got things going with some jokes.

And then he got serious about his long-time floor general.

His former Spurs and French National Team teammate Boris Diaw shared some kind words.

The other two members of the Spurs' big three – Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili – spoke on their running mate as well.

Then the Spurs honoured Parker with an emotional video of some of the legend's best moments with the franchise.

Followed by the man of the hour addressing the crowd in attendance for his jersey retirement ceremony, speaking on his former coaches, teammates and the organization.

And last but not least, his jersey now hangs in the rafters forever.

Parker retired with career averages of 15.5 points, 5.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.
