The Sacramento Kings announced their roster for the third annual California Classic Summer League and among the names to keep an eye out for is G League Ignite forward Princepal Singh.

Following one season with the G League's development program, the India basketball star will have the opportunity to compete for an NBA roster spot.

Coming off of his first professional season, Singh appeared in four games for the Ignite. He totalled for nine points, four rebounds and one steal over those four appearances, making do with the limited playing time he received.

On Feb. 26, against the Salt Lake City Stars, Singh went for a career-high five points in just four minutes of playing time, going 2-for-2 from the field while knocking down his first-career 3-pointer. He also tallied four points and one rebound in four minutes of playing time against the Austin Spurs on March 6.

When Singh spoke with NBA.com's Yash Matange back in May, he touched on the idea of trying to crack a Summer League roster as one of his next steps in his career toward the NBA.

"Right now, my training is going on and it's going well," he told NBA.com a few months back. "I'm not sure about what's next but I might play in the NBA Summer League or with another G League team."

The 6-foot-9 forward is tied for the second-tallest player on the Kings' Summer League roster, hoping to add some size inside.

The Kings are set to play two games at the California Classic.

On Wednesday, Aug. 4 (IST), Singh and Sacramento will take on the Golden State Warriors at 5:30 a.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 5 (IST), Singh and the Kings will line up against the Los Angeles Lakers at 5:30 a.m.

This is a big opportunity for India's biggest basketball star to put his skill set and improvements on display, looking to create a potential opportunity to land on a Las Vegas Summer League team the following week. If all goes well, he could land himself on an NBA roster or G League roster for the 2021-22 season.
