Manchester United will host Arsenal just a week before the final matchday of the 2023/24 Premier League season in what could prove a hugely significant game in the title race.

With the Gunners locked in a three-way title battle with Liverpool and Manchester City, manager Mikel Arteta will have earmarked the visit to Old Trafford as potentially one of the biggest obstacles between them and a first league title in 20 years.

United have not exactly enjoyed a strong season, but they held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford just three weeks after beating them 4-3 in the FA Cup quarterfinals, proving they can still go toe-to-toe with the best teams in the division.

They lost the reverse fixture against Arsenal 3-1 at Emirates Stadium back in early September, but they beat Arteta's men at home in 2022/23 by the same scoreline. The London club have not won away to United in nearly four years.

There is now a confirmed date and kickoff time for the match, by which time Arsenal will hope they are still firmly in title contention — or, perhaps, have already won it.

When is Man United vs Arsenal? Date, kickoff time

Manchester United host Arsenal on the penultimate Sunday of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

The game will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2024, with a local kickoff time of 4:30 p.m. BST (11:30 a.m. ET).

The Red Devils will then face Newcastle United three days later in a rearranged fixture before their final match of the league season away to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 19.

Arsenal, who will bid to win an away league game against Man United for the first time since November 2020, conclude their top-flight season against Everton at Emirates Stadium on May 19.

Man United vs Arsenal head to head, all-time results

This game will be the 241st competitive meeting between Manchester United and Arsenal. The very first game took place on October 13, 1894, when Newton Heath — United's original name — and Woolwich Arsenal drew 3-3 in a Division Two league match.

United hold the edge historically in this fixture, with 99 wins to Arsenal's 88. The other 53  games have been draws. However, the Gunners have only lost two of the past 10 meetings with the Red Devils in all competitions and won the reverse fixture 3-1 earlier this season.

Arsenal's last win at Old Trafford came in November 2020, when a penalty from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured all three points.
