Manchester City will bid to steal another march in the Premier League title race when they host Luton Town on Saturday, April 13.

Pep Guardiola's side will go top of the table with a win, with title rivals Arsenal and Liverpool not involved until Sunday.

City played out a gripping 3-3 draw in the UEFA Champions League this week, twice seeing a lead slip away to Real Madrid as the first leg of their quarterfinal tie ended level. They will hope for a less eventful game against Luton, who have lost twice to the Premier League champions this season already and are desperate for — if not expecting — a result that could lift them out of the drop zone.

To that end, City could welcome back a couple of experienced senior players for the game at the Etihad Stadium, where they have not lost in any competition since November 2022.

City will hope to have Kevin De Bruyne available after the midfielder missed the Real Madrid match due to illness. Phil Foden was taken off with a knock in that game, but City expect the England star to be fit to face the Hatters.

Saturday could also see the long-awaited return of goalkeeper Ederson. The Brazil international suffered a thigh injury against Liverpool on March 10 and has not played since.

Defenders Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake are expected to miss out again through injury.

Man City predicted starting XI (3-2-4-1, right to left): Ederson (GK) — Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol — Rodri, Nunes — Foden, Alvarez, De Bruyne, Grealish — Haaland

Luton could well stick with the team that started the valuable 2-1 win over Bournemouth last time out.

Gabriel Osho is close to a return from a knee problem but may not be rushed back for this one. Chiedozie Ogbene is also likely to miss out.

Luton Town predicted starting XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Kaminski (GK) — Kabore, Mendi, Burke — Hashioka, Barkley, Clark, Doughty — Townsend, Chong — Morris
