With a 3-pointer at the 9:31 mark in the fourth quarter – his fouth made long range shot of the game – Carmelo Anthony moved past Alex English for 18th on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

Finishing with a season-high 25 points for the game, Anthony's career tally now stands at 25,615 points. Next on the charts at 17th is 2008 NBA Champion Kevin Garnett (26,071).

Anthony also finished with a season-high eight rebounds while having his best shooting game (10-20 FG) since joining the Trail Blazers about a week back.

The game in Chicago, the last of a six-game road trip for the Blazers, turned out to be a very special affair.

The win snapped a four-game skid for the Blazers and it came on the 62nd birthday of their head coach Terry Stotts

In the 117-94 win, which is the first double-digit victory for the team so far this season, six Blazers scored in double figures with key contributions coming from their backcourt - Damian Lillard (13 points, 12 assists) and CJ McCollum (21 points).
