The day has come!

Aussie star guard Ben Simmons has knocked down his first-career 3-pointer in an NBA regular season game.

In the first quarter of the Philadelphia 76ers' game against the New York Knicks, Simmons spotted up in the corner and buried his first 3-ball with confidence.

Simmons was previously 0-for-17 from beyond the arc in his three-year career, with the majority of those attempts coming on "heaves" at the end of a quarter or to beat the shot clock.

This was the second time we've seen the All-Star guard convert a 3-pointer on an NBA court, with the first one coming in the 76ers' preseason blowout win over the Guangzhou Long-Lions.

Simmons is averaging 13.7 points, 7.1 assists and 6.0 rebounds over 11 games for the 76ers this season.
