The Philadelphia 76ers aren't done making moves.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers are "in advanced talks" to hire former Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey to oversee the franchise's basketball operations.

A deal between Morey and the 76ers is expected to be finalized "in the next few days."

Shams Charania of The Athletic added that Morey will sign a five-year deal with the 76ers.

Morey is only a couple of weeks removed from stepping down as general manager of the Rockets, a position he had held for 13 seasons. Morey and the 76ers started talking shortly after his departure from the Rockets, per Wojnarowski.

Morey reportedly has a strong relationship with Doc Rivers, who the 76ers hired to replace Brett Brown as the team's head coach.

The 76ers started the 2019-20 season with championship expectations but it ended in disappointment. Following the season, 76ers general manager Elton Brand said he was focused on "balancing our strengths with analytics and strategy with more basketball minds."
