Achanta Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran progressed to the third round of the men's doubles at the World Table Tennis Championships, which is being held in Durban, South Africa, on Monday.
Sathiyan and Sharath Kamal beat the pair of Anders Lind and Bence Majoros 11-5, 11-4, 15-13 in the round of 32.
Sharath Kamal however bowed out from the men's singles competition, losing to South Korean paddler Lee Sang Su 11-4, 13-11, 11-8, 12-10.
The other Indian men's duo of Harmeet Desai and Manush Utpalbhai Shah were knocked out of the men's doubles competition after losing 11-4, 11-3, 11-8 to Japanese pair Yukiya Uda and Shunsuke Togami.

Sathiyan along with Manika Batra progressed to the next round of mixed doubles competition with an 8-11, 11-7, 11-6 and 11-6 win over Brazilian duo Eric Jouti and Luca Kumahara.
