India are all set to host the Squash World Cup 2023 from June 13 to June 17 at the Express Avenue Mall in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The tournament returns to India after a gap of 12 years.
Eight nations, including hosts India, from four different continents will take part in the competition this year. The seven other nations who will be participating are Australia, Colombia, Egypt, Hong Kong China, Japan, Malaysia and South Africa.

The first-ever edition of the tournament was held in Malaysia in 1996 where Australia had emerged as champions. England then won the second edition in the Netherlands in 1999 while Egypt won the third edition in India which was held in 2011.

All you need to know about the Squash World Cup 2023 groups
Pool A: Egypt, Australia, Malaysia, Colombia
Pool B: India, Japan, South Africa, Hong Kong China
There are two groups with four teams each and they will play three round-robin matches.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played on June 16 and the remaining teams will play to determine their final position in the tournament, fifth to eighth. The final will be held on June 17.
Hosts India have been clubbed in group B alongside Japan, South Africa and Hong Kong. They will play their opening match against Hong Kong on June 13.
Which Indians are participating in the Squash World Cup 2023?
Sourav Ghoshal and Joshna Chinappa will lead the Indian contingent at the Squash World cup. The two other participants are Abhay Singh and Tanvi Khanna.
